  PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION BEFORE BUYING YOUR SEMFestivalpass Christmas Edition!     

  • The SEMFestivalpass Christmas Edition gives you entry to the concerts at 4 pm (Vocal Quartet VOX), 5.30 pm (Arsen Petrosyan Quartet) and 8 pm (Música Temprana) at XI SEMF Christmas Edition 2023.
  • When buying a festival pass, you choose your fixed seat (same for all concerts) in the A-section of the German Church. 
  • You buy the SEMFestivalpass Christmas Edition by clicking on the button to the right: "Buy ticket". For tickets to individual concerts, please click on the "Buy ticket" button next to the respective program item.
  • The price for the FESTIVAL PASS is 790 SEK. Limited number of seats. Tickster´s booking fee will be added.
  • NB! SEMFestivalpass Christmas Edition is NEITHER valid for the Early Late Night Concert NOR the dinner at Källarbyn.

 •   NEW! Child/Student ticket  This year SEMF offers a new specific ticket for children up to 18 years old and students on presentation of a valid student identification. The ticket costs 100 SEK and is valid in all sections except the SEMFestivalpass section.

Operabyrån's new family show THE WITCHES is a sparkling magical feast where the audience participates with singing, spells and movements. Singer Christina Larsson Malmberg and musician Nora Roll guide us into the fabulous world of witches.

Tickets: Free for children 0-17 years. Adults: 100 SEK. Tickster´s booking fee will be added.

The Christmas journey begins! Through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, through folk chorales, Gregorian chants, English madrigals and enveloped in a mass by William Byrd that links the Julasongh programme. With passion and richness, VOX, once the only full-time vocal quartet in the Nordic countries, specialising in early music among other genres, creates this emotional and expressive concert. The ensemble has toured the Nordic region and the rest of Europe.

From Armenia with love! Arsen Petrosyan, master of duduk (Armenian wind instrument), with his Arsen Petrosyan Quartet is today one of this cultural nation's foremost performers of folk music. Captivating century-old Christmas carols, traditional folk tunes and dances, sacred songs and hymns resound - music that has actually survived the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire and the Soviet Union. A rare opportunity!

Tickets: 250-300 SEK, Children/Students: 100 SEK Tickster´s booking fee will be added.

TIME FOR DINNER AT KÄLLARBYN

Also this year we offer our dear festival visitors a nice and simple dinner between the concerts. You take it at Källarbyn, Stora Nygatan 31, Old Town, close to The German Church.

Choose one of the following dishes when booking, each linked to its respective ticket:  

•Vegetarian winter stew with root vegetables, beluga lentils and mushrooms, served with sourdough bread. Loka with the meal + coffee and apple cake after the meal is included.

•Chili con carne on game meat, served with sourdough bread. Loka with the meal + coffee and apple cake after the meal is included.  

  Price: 250 SEK. NB! Book your dinner no later than December 4th. Tickster´s booking fee will be added.

Warming Christmas energy across the Atlantic! Under the direction of Adrián Rodríguez van der Spoel, the Amsterdam-based ensemble Musica Temprana, with a long international career, specializes in mapping the fascinating Latin American colonial repertoire. Lullabies and danceable villancicos from Peru, Bolivia, Mexico and Ecuador - moving and festive!

Musica Temprana

Christmas Eve calls for worship but also for meditation. Both Bach's Christmas chorales and Arvo Pärt's timeless musical language contain jubilant and pastoral elements. Organ player Johannes Landgren has toured the world and recorded over 35 CDs. 

Early Late Night Concert is SEMF's own, as well as most popular and appreciated concert form. You lie comfortably on a mattress and listen to live music in a relaxed atmosphere.
